xAI Models

Works with v1.0+

This recipe demonstrates how to use xAI's Grok models with Spice.ai.

Prerequisites

An xAI API key (get one from x.ai (opens in a new tab))
Spice CLI installed (Getting Started Guide (opens in a new tab))

Configuration

Update the .env file with your xAI API key (or edit directly in the spicepod.yaml).

Run

From the recipe directory, start the Spice.ai runtime:

spice run

Open another terminal and run spice chat:

spice chat

Ask a question.

chat> Who are you and who made you?
